Pocket Change, Yes Please!

Be the change You need to be.
If you are not willing to do anything about it…then you can’t be upset.
These are some of things I tell myself. My own little Cheerleader.
Why spend time fretting over things or people you have no control over what they do or say? Sometimes the things we don’t know, don’t hurt. You know the type that tells you things you don’t need to know…Why do people do this? Don’t they know it’s hurtful and there is a time and a place?
Ask yourself what it is about the situation. Is there truth? What could you have done better, or different? And if it is that something was your fault and criticism came your way, can you honestly say you weren’t wrong?
I read a blog recently on Change…Change is hard, no doubt. But determination can conquer…Forget making lists. Forget talking about it…Don’t feel sorry for yourself or make excuses…Set out and achieve whatever it is you need or want. What are you waiting for? Sometimes you just need to hear the truth and sometimes the truth hurts. But it can be a teaching method. That’s part of life, part of growth…like the learning tree…your inner you.
Listen to You and Love You some You. <---My Tagline...
For all you ladies that push me to march forward...Thank you.
Be Good to You.
Smooches,
Lola

  1. Bravo Lola! You made a great point. I always make list of things that I want to do, but I never attend to them. I always complain of what I did wrong, but never acknowledge that I did my best. I know that sometimes a change is for the best and it's part of my growth. That's why I set out to make a change one step at a time.

    1. Thank you! I'm a list maker and want to stop and start doing...in life it seems we find the negative will outweigh the positives that we overlook and don't take the time to congratulate ourselves...It is important to take things one step at a time and not set too high of standards where we let ourselves down...small steps! Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Very well said Lola! I completely agree that we grow when we change or when we allow others to speak into our lives. I'm learning to admit and apologize when I'm in the wrong. I recently did that at work. My boss said it was refreshing. Great post Lola :) Thank you for taking the time to read my blot. I feel so blesses to have met you.

    1. I'm happy we crossed paths too...I had to learn these lessons in the workplace too...after all we're not perfect! And we should always leave room for growth and change.

    1. I had to learn to hear the truth without taking it so personally and left feeling hurt. Sometimes we need people to tell things we are too afraid to see...It's what makes us stronger in the end.

  4. You give such motivational advice and you're so right about dealing with change, but it's so important to not feel sorry for yourself.

  5. I love this post! I just went through a divorce and I had anyone and everyone coming up to me just to tell me things about him that I had absolutely no desire to hear. It just makes hard things that much harder.

It's amazing to be put through challenges that really teach us about ourselves and push us to become better people.

Thank you for sharing :] I loved reading this. Want to be blog friends??

    1. Hi Lindsey...Thanks for stopping by...I've never understood why people get the "itch" to tell people things that are hurtful...what we don't know, don't hurt...

And I know challenges...I'm sorry to hear of your divorce...as with life, one day at a time. Be good to you...and Love You some You..

      Hugs.
